Supervised Contact Procedures

Court referred or Self-referred

You can inform your lawyer or make a direct request to the Family Court to use our service. Once we receive the referral from the court, we will contact you.

If this is a self-referral for private visits and not processed through the court, please email or call us to discuss.

Initial assessment

Before visits can begin, we carry out separate initial assessments with both parties to evaluate risks, review rules and conditions, and discuss the location, frequency, and available times. We reserve the right to decline any cases we deem too high-risk or unsafe.

If supervised contact rules are violated, we may reassess or suspend visits.

The supervisor will meet everyone at the agreed location. They will be within sight and hearing distance at all times, keeping the child safe, observing interactions, and documenting notes. Visit reports will be shared with the Family Court.

A changeover process will be in place to ensure that both parties do not see each other during pick-up and drop-off.
